Parent...... The Role Model
Human life is a mixed bag of emotions – a rich blend of colours woven together. And it's because of emotions we have a fulfilled life and can experience ourselves in this world. And in todays world where everyone is just in the rat race of achieving the so called 'success', it primarily becomes the responsibility of the adults to help the child grow up as an emotionally balanced individual.
The emotional development starts from infancy or probably before that. It's then, that the child learns to feel, by absorbing feelings from the surrounding, like a sponge. Positive and negative emotions build and peak like waves. The key is to resolve this issue early before the tide builds.
Parents, thus play a vital role of being the role models, regardless of age. They play an irreplaceable part in their child's life by being his first teacher. The child tends to honour what parents do rather than what they say. Thus comes our moral responsibility to behave the way we expect our ward to do.
It is important to remember that it is not enough to feed only the mind for excelling in his academic performance alone, but the child should be well equipped emotionally for future challenges. This will make him/her achieve success in the true sense.
With this, I firmly believe that together we can make this world a better place to live in
